Fees
We offer industry standard pricing, please contact us for up to date session costs as it relates to your individual needs.
Medicare Rebates
Rebates can be claimed through Medicare, reducing your out-of-pocket costs.
If you receive a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or Psychiatrist you are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $128.40 per session for 10 sessions per calendar year (the Government has recently announced an additional 10 Medicare subsidised session are now available for those who have already used their 10 initial sessions).
To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you will need to be referred to Compassionate Mind Psychology by a GP or Psychiatrist. As part of this process, your GP will complete a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Let your GP clinic know that you are seeking a MHCP when you book your appointment so that extra time can be allocated for the appointment. Your GP will then either provide you with the referral, or send it directly to Compassionate Mind Psychology. If the referral has been passed to you, bring it to your first appointment.
Private Health Fund Rebates
Rebates for private psychological sessions vary greatly between health insurance providers. Many insurance companies require their clients to have used their allocated Medicare sessions before allowing claims for private psychological cover. Please check with your health fund to see if you are covered.
Telehealth
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, all sessions are held via Telehealth (video/phone).
Please contact us to obtain information on how to use Telehealth from home.
You can receive a rebate of $128.40 for all sessions under the Mental Health Care Plan.
To be eligible for the Medicare rebate or private health insurance rebate, you will need a valid mental health care plan.
